What is this calculator?
Queues cost time twice: once while you wait, and again when you switch to the line that turns out to be slower. This calculator combines your weekly waits with your queue-swapping habit to show lifetime hours, days and the penalty for second-guessing.
How does it work?
Waits per week times average wait gives minutes per week, scaled by 52.18 into hours per year. Queue switches per week times the extra minutes each one costs is tracked separately, then both are projected across the years lived and remaining.

How is this different from a plain queue-time calculator?+
It adds the switching penalty: the extra minutes you lose every time you abandon one line for another that looked faster.
Does switching queues actually help?+
Rarely. With random delays, the line you left is as likely to speed up as the one you joined — and you lose your place in the process.
