What is this calculator?

This calculator estimates how many pizzas you have eaten, what they cost and roughly how many calories came along for the ride. Enter how often you order, your usual price and how long you have been a pizza eater. It is good for a friendly housemate debate, or for anyone sizing up takeaway spending without opening a spreadsheet.

How does it work?

Pizzas per month are multiplied by the months in your pizza-eating years, then by your price. Calories use an average of about 2,000 for a standard whole pizza. Sizes, toppings and local prices shift things a lot, so treat the numbers as playful estimates.

Frequently asked questions

Do slices count?+

Enter them as a fraction of a pizza. Two slices of an eight-slice pie is 0.25.

Why 2,000 calories per pizza?+

It is a mid-range figure for a standard cheese pizza. Loaded meat pizzas run higher; thin-crust veggie runs lower.

Is the money figure inflation-adjusted?+

No — it applies today's price across all years, so it is best read as 'what this habit costs in current money'.

Should I feel bad about the total?+

Absolutely not. This is a curiosity tool, not a nutrition plan.
