What is this calculator?

This calculator converts your Earth age into your age on Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus and Neptune. Enter your date of birth and every planet's answer appears side by side. A year is just one orbit of the Sun, and each planet takes a different amount of time, which is why the numbers swing so wildly from one column to the next.

How does it work?

We work out how many days you have been alive, convert that to Earth years, then divide by each planet's orbital period. Mercury takes 88 Earth days per lap, Neptune takes about 165 Earth years. Periods are sidereal, and Pluto sits this one out as a dwarf planet.

Frequently asked questions

Why is my Mercury age so high?+

Mercury's year is under three Earth months, so you rack up Mercury birthdays roughly four times faster.

Where is Pluto?+

Pluto was reclassified as a dwarf planet in 2006. For the record, its year is about 248 Earth years.

Would I actually age differently there?+

No. Your body would age at the same biological rate โ€” only the calendar changes.

What about Earth?+

Earth is your baseline: the age shown at the top of the results.
