What is this calculator?
Weekends feel short, but stacked together they are substantial. This calculator counts the weekends you have already lived, the weekend days those add up to and what percentage of your whole life they represent. It also shows how many weekends you have left, which tends to be the number people remember long after closing the page.
How does it work?
Each year contains 52.18 weeks, so weekends lived are your age multiplied by that figure, and weekend days are double it. Because Saturday and Sunday are two of seven days, the weekend share of any life is about 28.6%. Remaining weekends use the years between your age and your expected lifespan.
