What is this calculator?
Front doors, fridge doors, car doors, cupboards, office doors. You open dozens every day without registering a single one. This calculator turns that invisible daily habit into monthly, yearly and lifetime door-opening totals, including how many are still ahead of you.
How does it work?
Doors per day times 365.25 gives a yearly total, and dividing by twelve gives a monthly equivalent. Yearly totals are applied to the years you have lived and the years left to your expected lifespan.

How many doors does a person open daily?+
Once you include fridge doors, cupboards, cars, bathrooms and office doors, thirty to sixty a day is realistic for most adults.
Should cupboards and fridges count?+
Yes if you want the true total. They are doors, they open and close, and they make up a surprising share of the count.
Does a door opened and closed count once or twice?+
